Daissy Torres, IBCLC
Daissy Torres, IBCLC, is a dedicated maternal and child health professional focused on improving outcomes for families. She holds a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Human and Health Services from Western Governors University. As First Vice Chair of the IBCLC Commission, she oversees essential certification functions. In her role as the new Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Referral Coordinator, she will utilize a strong systems-thinking approach to reduce maternal and infant mortality by enhancing care coordination and eliminating barriers to essential services. With experience supporting over 4,000 pregnant and lactating clients and improving breastfeeding rates during her five years in public health, she combines clinical expertise with system-level leadership to drive meaningful, sustainable change.
