Sylvia Ameen
Sylvia Ameen, is the Senior Associate Vice President of Development and Alumni Relations, with Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at ODU. She also serves as the Executive Director of the EVMS Foundation.
She lives in the city of Norfolk. She has a Bachelor of Arts Business Management and a Masters of Public Administration. Her career has been dedicated to healthcare and development, with a longstanding focus on pediatric health. She began in pediatric healthcare and has since expanded into medical and health sciences education – both fields deeply connected to early childhood health and well-being.
Her favorite children’s book series is the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys series. These stories sparked her imagination and fostered a lifelong appreciation and curiosity when it comes to reading.
